That's right, you can start to preload the current version (I'm sure they'll have plenty of updates before the final version is ready, but this way you'll have most of it downloaded).
Just double click on your l4d2 icon and you're set!

Tried the demo out. Not too shabby. Still not worth $45/50 in my opinion. I'll take advantage of a weekend sale.
