Because there are to many fucking things that we don't need and scientists make it just for fame / fun...why don't they create something we REALLY REALLY need?! If they worked out hell hard they we maybe could be on mars by now :O

I dont think they are looking for water.. the government is probably looking for something more valuable lol idk why you would spend so much money just to find water...

They want to find water to make a colony on Moon ^^ That's why soo much investigation on SPACE we need expansion! We need new resources, new things! NEW DISCOVERS!!! BE GREATER!! and best of all MAKE HISTORY!!!!!!! :D

Because all of the other scientists are busy inventing cures and amazing contraptions that you have no idea about at the moment. I've seen so much shit that is coming out in the next 20 years that is going to revolutionize medicine and fitness and so forth. It's amazing, soldiers suits that look like the COG army suits with fully mechanized robotic arms and legs to give you the ability to lift and move just about anything. It's just spectacular. Back to what i was saying though, these scientists are just having fun while the rest are working their asses off. And Obama didnt deserve a Nobel Peace Prize.

Finding large amounts of ice on the Moon would be an amazing find. How many other planets or moons have we seen water on besides ours? Also, water=H20=OXYGEN=YOU BREATHE THIS.

H2O = oxygen? umm, no? H2O is water, oxygen is a gas. To get gaseous oxygen from water you have to perform something like electrolysis which will take the hydrogen and the oxygen apart. Too bad there are no accounts of either electrolysis or nuclear fissure/fusion (which is another way to break the water into oxygen and hydrogen, extreme heat) on the moon. So to get breathable oxygen out of that water, we'd have to invest a ton of energy into electrolysis which means investing fuel or some other energy source, which means transporting that stuff up there and in the end you're better off just transporting oxygen.
