The only problem with LCD Tv's s the resolution is low. I mean its great if you want to be 10 or so feet away but infornt of you on a desk sucks. I looked at them while doing my search and didnt find any that would really be decent. hell my 19" samsung non-wide had a higher vertical res than a 32" TV. The best of the best is the dell 30". Massive resolution.
I have viewsonic 20.1 widescreen....I'll never go "non-wide" again. No dead pixels, decent price. Oh and do not get a CRT...they suck and burn your eyes much faster than an LCD. If you are on the computer a lot, definitely get LCD.

Thats not true. I have a 23" HDTV LCD screan for gaming and my computer that has 8MS response and 1360x768 (highest res. for widescreans) looks great.
