I, in no way, take any responsibility for anything that may happen when you use this tutorial. It is for informational purposes only and should be used as such.

What is this?

This is a simple tutorial on how to bridge host for use with modding or to keep yourself safe from modders...basically...this guarantees that a person in your party gets host.....can be very helpful sometimes....

What do I need?

*Xbox, Xbox Live, and Halo 2 (duh!)
*Zone Alarm Pro (find this here ---> Search (http://www.soddl.com/index.php?act=Search&f=22) )
*IP address of person you want to become host (have them go here ---> CMYIP (http://www.cmyip.com/) )

How do I do it?

1) Have the person that is going to get hpst make a new party.
2) Put that perosn's IP into your trusted zone on the Firewall tab of Zone Alarm.
3) Join that person's party.
4) Again check to make sure that their IP is the only IP in the trusted zone, excluding your network adapter and others need to run your internet.
5) Go to the Firewall tab of Zone Alarm and put your Internet Zone Security to High, but do not move Trusted Zone Security.
6) That's it...your all set to bridge host to another player...look for more Xbox Live! tutorials from me in the future

dont you also need a program such as switchsniffer to poison the connection or does zone alarm do that on its own?

also you can "steal" host by beginning to standby (put ZAP up to high so the xbox gets no connection) as soon as it enters stage 3 "configuring game"? keep it up until you see the final screen then put it back to where it was and you have stolen host and can use ZAP to kick people or team standby

NB: you need to get "box-host" for this to work, and if you are doing it in a party you need to have started the party

box-host = when you first hit start game and it goes to the screen where there are the boxes that fill up in orange when a player joins, you need to be the only player there, so no other boxes are orange

you can get this by standby-ing when trying to connect to a game
