Are you joking? You think they will be able to force everyone to buy a 1900XT? No, it's the most basic shit for people who won't be playing video games, but every computer needs a gfx card...

Umm actrully i have an X700Pro ages ago when it was frist release and i crank the shit out of it can't remember but i think clock was around 600/1350 so is not immposible to maxed it out as a matter of fact it runs bf2 on 1024x768 high with avarge of 49fps online and up to 140fps SP note that this card was on water with custom drivers so if u know what u doing u can get some xtra fps out of ur card but since u only just find out that u have X550 i say u should go buy a new gfx card say 7600GS or GT around $100 @ newegg. The reason ATi card give lower fps because the are into image quality rather then nVidia Fps even now the X1800 and 1900 have FAA setting that nVidia doesn't even support and next Gen Ati card R600 core will kick the shit out of 8800GTX due to then new 512bit memmory of 2ghz GDDR-4
is x800xl ...the same thing as just x800?
because i have the first, i dunno i just bought this PC because its PCI-E unlike the damn emachines that i later threw out the window (after taking out the ram of course) and this pc was cheap as hell because it was a refurb from some gaming place.

A good card that does not take alot of power is the GeForce 8800.

LOL? Dude a single GTX requires a minimum 450w psu with 30Amps on the 12 volt rails.
