from what i hear, idk if u can practice, maybe on an older comp?? theres probably a few guides floating around, but from what i hear, try at your own risk!

1. Overclocking is a luck of the draw
2. Step everything! (step means to do it little by little)
3. COOLING COOLING COOLING, if you want a stable OC you need to keep temps down
4. Quality parts are important in an OC too, if they are shit you wont get any kind of OC at all...
just a few pointers from experience.
oh and if you OC your CPU i suggest getting a good cooler and AS5 on there.

thats from 3 years ago.
i know someone that overclocked a computer to 7.3ghz, before the card blew up, he was using liquid helium, the coldest substance on earth - -269 boiling point, i know you can overclock to about 10ghz now.

I would read a ton of articles on overclocking, and practice using an older computer, incase things go horribly wrong.

heh ..the only thing i know about overclocking is to never do it via a program via an Os as that will mean u need acess that if anything goes wrong. err or somin use teh bios ..

I tried to use ASUS AI Overclocking crap whatever... almost killed my comp.

overclocking is all about knowledge no luck no bullshit. Is all about knowing ur hardware what type is it?what can it handle?what cooling do you have?how hot is ur cpu compare to reference temp (at load idle dun count) how hot is ur case ambient temp if is any hotter then 2C of ur room temp u need to regulated it add more input and output fans (dun just add at any slot u can find tho think of the best set up based on that cold air stay low hot air raise) and overclocking ur cpu is not just about ur cpu is that can ur motherboard and ram keep up with ur cpu clock. You might able to get a high speed but is it stable?Strees test it and find the best clock speed that would suit ur needs where the is Gaming, hardcore porn or w/e. So you the important is knowledge here search up google about ur hardware there probably some other noob out there with same or simlar hardware to u that try to overclock. But if u are serrious about it pm me and cut u sometime researching but is always better when u research and do it ur self give u some hands on experience and sense of achievement. I hope this help :D
