As it says in the title what about a donator status, like you must have some sort of server costs or something? Or put it towards making the site better (Zomgstuff gamming server, VIPs direct downloads? or what ever.) So a donator would have donator status and based on how much they donated access to VIPs for X amount of weeks?:p To avoid people just donating and not being active you could impose some sort of 25 + posts to be able to donate? A donator wouldn’t have the respect that a VIPs would have because its not so much earned, more just bought allthough as long as you were donating to help out the site and not just for the rewards then it would be a good thing. Well ..thats my idear anyway. :o
