We did a review of the 5970, which is actually a dual 5870 GPU single card solution. All i can say about this thing is that its unbelievably fast and we even did a benchmarking of L4D2 in the review, which was actually just released today. :)

For benchmarks, photos and more...

I want nao. This is going to be my card BTW. I want to see one with dual 8pins though so I can OC it back to the speeds it should be and surpass the ignorant 300w PCI regulation.

You dont need dual 8 pins, it should draw enough with a 6+8 if you have a good enough PSU... i believe it states that in the review.

I'm dumb. I misunderstood what they meant on OCN.

It's clearly sexy, but $600 is a little too much imo.

Considering the fact it's brand new it's a pretty good price. GTX295's (Former king of the GPU hill) are still going for $500 and this card walks all over them. Also when you consider it would be around $800+ to crossfire a pair of HD5870's this is a deal. They lowered the GPU and Memory speeds to meet the lame ass PCI SIG 300w regulations. Luckily most knowledgeable review sites (Read: NOT TOMS HARDWARE) have had amazing overclocking results with these.

So far, we've pulled 100mhz on the core which isn't fantastic. We're gonna work on figuring out why it wont clock high. Mind you, we're running an ultra X4 1200. personally, i think thats the problem we'll see. This card should have like 100w of headroom for overclocking heatwise... so we could potentially see much higher clocks. id prolly say 200mhz increase on air?

Yeah I call the PSU. Ultra is so horrible these days. Looks over reliability.

Guru3d got their sample from 725/725/4000 to 935/935/5240 with some minor voltage tweaks.

Yeah, like the one we have. I just gotta ask my buddy to try a diff PSU.
