Thanks to Intel and their cheap manufacturing process on their new X25M SSDs, they have been able to create a new low cost SSD just for booting for your OS.
For 85 dollars you get a 40GB SSD. While this doesn't sound fantastic, if you begin to realize that the 80GB SSD costs 300 you begin to see the value in this.
