So like most Arduino owners, you probably never bought the transformer for the DC jack and just use the USB for power. Well what if you want to make your arduino portable? You can simply use a 9V battery to power it!
Parts:
9V Battery
9V Battery Clip
2.5mm power plug (Or an old transformer)
Soldering Iron
If you have a 2.5mm power plug, great. I didn't have any spare ones laying around, but I do have a drawer full of random transformers that don't really go with anything. I cut off the end of one of the transfomers that had a 2.5mm jack, and used that. You can just solder the power plug directly into the battery clip, and voila!
