Just ordered a bunch of random shit, can't wait for the possibilities. I bought an arduino ethernet shield so you guys could control various gadgets in my room from the internet and be able to view it on webcam

They have a ridiculously large community, docs, and support. I have a PIC programmer, and those are a bloody pain to work with. I'll post pics of my projects as soon as I got it.

is a really good deal, I would also get a grab bag from jameco to get a lot of cool cheap electronic parts to get you started.

Also, I'm incredibly impressed with the community and all the help for the arduino, and it's so easy to code in it.

As far as your links, I don't need that starter kit so I already have hundreds of dollars in parts laying around.
