I think it will be something useful for someone with a netbook but not a main rig.

agreed. like linux.

Something quick, simple, and with a small footprint.

Personally, i only use my netbook for email, internet, and word processing.

i use mine while im laying in bed. thats about it.
i dont feel like using my big laptop in bed because its basically my desktop and it has all the USB wires and everything sticking out.

i leave my netbook on my night stand.

So basiclly you'd start up your computer, and it'd say google. You'd write things with google docs, check email, go on the net, use Gchat in Gmail, use the google calendar for planning, and use all their other services for anything else you can think of? seems too easy.

Yea. If google one day decided to randomly take their shit down... we'd all be so effed.
I've been porting more and more of my things to google applications and products.(gmail, google docs, google calendar, google voice.) Gotta watch out

From what I've heard its just a heavily modified android. Althougha t the moment they're struggling to get decent batterry life out of it. Some random azn did the math on it and theorised that they can get 8 and a half hours out of a 3300 single cell. but at the moment they're getting 2.5.
