Anyone seen any good projects floating around that talk about brute-forcing a garage-door opener (the wireless ones) to send all possible codes?

I saw one on youtube about a year ago, but I think it got taken down. I think it was Household Hacker that did the video.

I saw that, but it doesn't tell you how to do it or talk about it. They just show their clip, which looks a bit shady.

If you plan on using this idea to scare people, just don't. It's sick and is pretty fucking horrible to do to anyone.

all garage door systems use different protocol so idk, you'd have to amass a collection of remotes if you wanted to make it.

I'd suggest finding one really popular model and then popping open the case and replace the dip switch with a microcontroller.

Eh, I decided to scrap this project since most homes after like 1995 have rolling code technology which makes it incredibly hard to do this.

you should hack peoples car remotes. now that is something useful and not very hard to do. Almost all car remotes work on the same frequency.

All you would need is a transreceiver with a micro that could store like 10 codes and a selector switch to select the 10 codes. then you'd just program it buy holding up your friends car remote and pressing the panic button

instant fucking around with friends/enemies/grandparents

Once again, most car remotes are rolling code based.
Edit:
And I don't see much information out there on how to hack it yet.
