I figured this out myself when I was playing with my iPod. It makes it alot faster when scrolling through the menus and stuff.

1) Plug your iPod into your computer, wait until it is recognized.
2) Run Windows Disk Defragmenter (Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Defragmenter)
3) Defrag the volume for your iPod.
4) Wait until it is done, then unplug your ipod and notice how much faster it is.

no, defrag only moves items that are accessed often to the centre of teh hard drive for faster reading. it wont actually alter anything but the read speed.

yea it would, PSP uses flash memory though so defragging is POINTLESS

flash memory is tidy and won't fragment

Heh ..ok well despite it being pointless, i've done it quite a few times ..i have a hella lot of files on my memory stick ( teh homebrew) and err it was pretty fragmented. so ..yeah !?
