Post some tips that you've learned while you've played the game.
If you have the Uzi, don't keep shooting at a Zombie until he falls to the ground, shoot off ~4-5 bullets and the Zombie will pass-out/die.
In the 1st level you can just walk off the wall by the dumpster and skip the apartment.

dont just run around shooting. walk into a room and shoot the zombies heads. they usually dont realize youre there until you shoot them.

Back into a corner with all your friends when you wake up a horde.

On the easier modes, you can easily melee the horde without dying.
After a smoker grasps you, you have 1-2 seconds to shoot him, and free yourself. After that you need a teammate to either hit you with a melee, or kill the smoker.
If you're playing as the infected, the hunter can wall jump unlimited times by jumping towards a wall, turning around, and jumping away just as you touch the wall. This is especially useful to get on top of rooftops.
Against the tank on expert, molotoving it takes off alot of its health.
when you find it, try running back to the vent at the start of the level, it gets sort of stuck in it and moves really slowly, giving you a good chance of killing it.
Um, A good tactic vs the witch is to use 2 sniper rifles and just shoot it lots of times from a distance, usually dead by the time it stands up.
Dual pistols kick ass.
If you get surrounded by a horde, just try to melee them all away until help comes, you can usually last longer than if you blasted them with your gun.
On the first level, theres a lampost in the area with the car that has an alarm, if you climb it, the only things that can get you are hunters and smokers. So if theres loads if infected you can just sit up there and shoot them.
If you get hit by a boomers vomit stuff and ALOT of guys are coming, use a pipe bomb, the zombies will go for it instead of you.
Muesli and I used these alot when we did our Expert run throughs.
Weve done expert about 10 times so were pretty good now.

Shoot holes through doors and close them, then wait for the horde to run up the door, while you shoot them through the hole.

If you are getting attacked by a horde of zombies, (and you should have the shotgun) knock them away then shoot repeatidly until help arrives or you kill them all :)

just a quick question, left for dead is based on the source engine right ?
so it shouldn't be any more graphics demanding then CS:S
rightttt?
Just because its based on source engine doesn't mean its going to have css graphics.
If you can run tf2 on high, then you can probably run this on high.

Hunter's can pounce through doors, then directly onto you in one swift movement. Watch out in versus mode :)

I've heard that if you hide from a tank, it eventually runs dies, anyone know if that's true?
Well, Tanks never stop burning, so if you get it on fire and run away itll die.
Not sure about that though, Me and Muesli got it glitched on a door one time and it couldnt get through the door and died.

Yea, I'm not sure in the demo, but it has a "frustration bar" of some sorts, where the player loses control of it, if they don't encounter any of the survivors before that bar runs out.
Oh and speaking of doors. I was standing at the beginning of the subway level, with a couple zombies in front of the door, so I kept opening and closing it. This made the door hit the zombies, and eventually killing them. Pretty damn funny at the time.

Tanks do and will have the "frustration bar". It is constantly dropping down every second that he isn't fighting against the survivors. Once it runs out, the AI Director picks another player to take the role of the tank and this keeps going until the tank finally dies.
