Why Am I Not Vip Anymore?

i haven't gotten on in a couple days but i got a VIP Probation pm but couldn't go to the link specified.
i remember hearing something about this but i thought if you donated you were exempt.
was i wrong?

Yes. Donations are not lifetime. I thought that too a while ago when I had donated but I guess things changed. This wasn't a recent change though.

You can regain VIP by acting the same way you would have acted to get off probation, and then continue that contributive act to retain it.
