Hello all, and welcome to the last update for 2007! We sincerely hope you all enjoyed your Christmas/Holiday this past week, and we hope you will enjoy the coming New Year!
This week, there have been several new changes to the forums, many of which you have probably noticed by now. The decision was made to create two new mods, Myself and Coviller. I am not going to say much more regarding that topic, because I think it is evident there are some bitter feelings over the matter. All I will say is, those of you who deserve it, you may very well one day end up with it.
In other news, our admin, David Hasselhoff is hard at work in bringing you several forum updates. You can expect to see a new thread icon for "e/n" topics, a custom "jailed" skin for those of you visiting the ban camp, a new forum skin, new rules page, and more accurate forum statistics. Keep an eye out for those as we will try to slowly bring those out to you.
In addition, many of you have been following the Zomg LAN topic closely. We have been hard at work on creating ideas and concepts to resurrect this Event with more vigor than ever previously attempted. We are looking at possibly an entire forum dedicated to Zomg LAN Parties with contests, tournaments, prizes, and awards to help promote the Events. We will be updating the current Calendar system to help "mark" important event dates, and we will implement more attractive features to make the whole system easier. We are looking at the idea of using Weekly LAN Parties, with monthly Tournaments (which may include prizes). Plans on deciding which games will be played have yet to be discussed.
