i am installing ubuntu 7.10 on my ps3 right now. i hope it turns out alright. i am new to linux so maybe i will be able to figure it out hopefully.

well i think i did something wrong when i tried to install it so i am going to try to install it again tomorrow after school. learning linux is going to be a bitch for me.

so ubuntu didn't turn out well so i installed yellow dog linux and it installed great and it is pretty user friendly

Was installing it pretty easy? If so i might try it on my ps3
